PointsBet Canada to serve as the official sportsbook for Alpine Canada Alpin

Global online sportsbook operator PointsBet Holdings Limited has announced the inking of an arrangement that has seen its embryonic PointsBet Canada subsidiary become the official sportsbetting partner for Alpine Canada Alpin.

The Melbourne-headquartered firm used an official Wednesday press release to detail that the multi-year alliance with the national ski racing organization begins as athletes from across the length and breadth of Canada are preparing to take part in the 2022 Winter Olympics from tomorrow morning.

Promising possibilities:

The move from PointsBet Holdings Limited comes some seven months after Canada ratified new legislation that allows punters to place legal bets on single football, baseball and ice hockey events as well as a range of action from other sports. This measure, which was colloquially known as the Safe and Regulated Sports Betting Act, was last week followed by a revelation from officials in Ontario that this province is to adopt an ‘open market’ model and allow an unlimited number of commercial enterprises to obtain operating licenses.

Impressive intention:

Scott Vanderwel (pictured) serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Toronto-headquartered PointsBet Canada and he used the press release to proclaim that PointsBet Holdings Limited ‘founded in the mature sports wagering market of Australia’ and currently holds a coveted position as ‘one of the fastest growing online gaming operators in the United States’. He furthermore declared that his enterprise is currently working towards launch in order to bring its ‘unmatched speed and ease of use’ in addition to ‘robust in-play capabilities and the deepest slate of pre-game and in-play betting options’ to sportsbetting aficionados from Sayward to St John’s.

“PointsBet Canada is committed to bringing our nation’s fans gold medal experiences and we are excited to be partnering with our world-class Canadian skiers as they follow their dreams and represent our great country on the world stage.”

Beneficial body:

Currently celebrating its 100th birthday, Alpine Canada Alpin is additionally responsible for governing Canada’s vast selection of para-alpine and ski cross disciplines while simultaneously providing a wide range of education, insurance, certification and coaching compliance facilities. This organization’s Chief Executive Officer and President, Therese Brisson, used the press release to assert that her enterprise works with a plethora of corporate and governmental partners ‘to stimulate visibility, inspiration and growth in the ski community.’

Brisson’s statement read…

“Alpine Canada Alpin is thrilled to welcome PointsBet Canada to our corporate family. It is a true Canadian operator in an exciting emerging space and a wonderful reflection of this is its support of athletes and the ski community in Canada.”
